Nature is my Intelligence Podcast
Conversations with humans, in the presence of nature.
A filmed podcast, documentary experiment and celebration of the living world, hosted by ERR — Éric Roux Reiffsteck, Paysan Parfumeur.
Artists, farmers, scientists, designers, philosophers, nomads and people who have bifurcated from conventional paths talk about existence through their relationship with the living world. Every guest brings another presence into the conversation: a plant, a landscape, an animal, a smell, a piece of earth.
The promise
Every episode should leave us having noticed something we had not noticed before. Not "nature is wonderful" — but "I never noticed that."
The third guest
Every episode has three participants: ERR, the human guest, and a non-human presence — an olive tree, a rose, a forest, a river, soil, rain, a smell. It doesn't "speak". We observe it, smell it, describe it, and allow it to change the direction of the conversation.
The episode ritual
- The offering — the guest's film of something alive that matters to them.
- The human — the biography, the bifurcation, the obsession.
- The living world — what the guest actually notices.
- The intelligence — "Where is intelligence here?"
- The distillation — what remains.
- The wild question — "What is your wild part?"
- The last drop — "What should we pay more attention to?"
We distil people, plants, places and ideas — not to reduce them to an essence, but to pay closer attention to what is there.
The pilot
Episode 000 — Why Nature Is My Intelligence? Before interviewing anyone, ERR becomes the first guest. The third guest: an olive branch.
